Calling out “Make a Difference, Change Lifes”, Sabancı Foundation Changemakers Program continues to make the stories of people who contribute to the social development visible all across Turkey and to work to raise awareness in other people. Within the scope of the program, we reached 190 Changemakers from 42 different cities since 2009.

11. season applications of the program took place between 6 November – 20 December 2019, 1270 applications were received from 77 cities. The first five cities in which the program received the highest number of applications from seven regions, especially the Marmara and Central Anatolia regions, are as follows; Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Kocaeli. The program received applications in 6 categories: education, health, social justice, civic participation, economic development and the environment, the highest application was received from the education category with a total of 692 this season. Applications came from categories of; health with 151 applications; environment with 130 applications, social justice with 126 applications, economic development with 107 applications and citizen participation with 64 applications.

After the advisory board meetings in January and February, the 11th Season Changemakers will be announced with an event that will take place in April 2020. Selected Changemakers will start a long-term journey after expert analysis accompanied by experts. Individuals and institutions included in the Changemakers Network will have the chance to work one-on-one with the Sabancı Foundation for 10 months. In addition, they will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Changemakers and participate in various workshops and events within their network.
