Autism is a mental development disorder, causing problems in social interaction and communication, as well as repeated behaviours. Although offical numbers are unknown, according to the research of civil society organizations there are more than 350 thousand children with autism in Turkey. An important part of these children can't reach the special education they need. Otsimo aims to contribute to the special education process of children without any cost, and ensure that they continue to take education in inclusive schools with their peers with no disability. Application can be used in tablets and smart phones. Games in Otsimo are prepared through an educational method called Applied Behaviour Analysis. After being tested by a pedagog and a special education teacher, games are ready for use.

Today, Otsimo is used by more than 10 thousand individuals with autism in Turkey and the world. Families underline the changes they realize in their children after using the application.

Zafer Elcik developed Otsimo, through his personal story. He touched the lives of individuals with autism and their families. And thus, he made a huge difference in his life, as well as the lives of individuals with autism.
