Map of Needs: Evoking the solidarity feeling in the society

Map of Needs was formed in 2015 by a group of friends, for mainstreaming solidarity and collective work, with the following vision; "If everyone starts from their own neighborhood, we can make our cities more liveable".

Map of Needs brings together those who are in need, and those who would like to respond to those needs. The system operates through a map on the internet. The needs are entered and the location is pinned on the map. The supports are also entered, and pinned on the map. Both of these transactions are active after being verified by the Map of Needs team.

No conditions are asked for registering to Map of Needs, neither for adding a need, nor support. All you need is to be older than 18 years.

26,778 members have registered to Map of Needs during the first year. All kinds of needs are registered, except money. Be it an eraser, a computer, a telescope, or a library, a total of 8,749 needs and supports have been registered during the first year from all around Turkey.

Map of Needs aimed to evoke the solidarity feeling in the society, bringing together those in need and those who would like to respond to those needs. It reached thousands of people in one year, while creating a new model of solidarity. Map of Needs made a huge difference in the lives of those in need and those who want to support those needs.
