Doğruluk Payı became the fourth Changemaker of the 7th season of the Sabancı Foundation Turkey's Changemakers Program that shares "the extraordinary stories of unique people" who contribute to the social development.
For the last 1.5 years, Doğruluk Payı has been analyzing the statements and claims of politicians on a daily basis and follows the rate of realization of the election promises. So far, Doğruluk Payı has examined 516 statements of 167 different politicians compiled from electoral and daily speeches. Among these claims, approximately 24% were found to be correct. Most of the examined claims were in the field of growth and employment. The analyzed data are shared with the public via social media, the internet and email.
Doğruluk Payı was founded based on a group of young people's common concern on the future. It helped voters to get correct information and showed both to the politicians and to the public that political claims can be analyzed on the basis of accuracy. It made a huge difference in the lives of thousands of citizens who were unable to ensure the quality of political discourse especially at election times.
